IT Computer Operator II (Hybrid, Mexico City)

About the role

Schneider is looking for a proactive IT Computer Operator II to join its Mexico City team. The role is hybrid, offering a blend of onsite presence in the data centre and remote support, and focuses on first‑ and second‑level support for critical business services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor system events across multiple platforms and identify abnormal activity.
• Provide problem resolution and escalate issues to higher‑level IT support when required.
• Enforce data‑center security policies and assist with batch‑job scheduling.
• Perform hardware support tasks, including print I/O functions.
• Communicate incident status, actions taken, and next steps to technical and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Basic experience with Microsoft operating systems and Office suites.
• Fundamental understanding of networking concepts.
• Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications.
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices and data‑center monitoring tools is a plus.
