IT Engineer – Manufacturing Systems Support

About the role

We are looking for an IT Engineer to support the information systems and infrastructure of our manufacturing operations. The role bridges factory‑level support with headquarters IT, ensuring reliable daily operation and effective problem‑solving across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site and remote support for factory users, troubleshooting daily system issues.
• Collaborate with headquarters IT teams to maintain continuous operation of information systems.
• Manage and maintain computers, servers, and network equipment to meet production requirements.
• Install, configure, and update software, hardware, and networking components.
• Monitor and maintain ERP, MES, and other production management systems.
• Conduct system testing, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
• Deliver technical training and guidance to end‑users.
• Document IT configurations, processes, and incident reports.
• Communicate with service providers and handle inventory of IT assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of IT support experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with end‑to‑end manufacturing processes (design, production, procurement, sales).
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Operating systems: Windows, Linux.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Cloud services: Office 365.
• Server hardware: Dell, HP.
• Virtualisation: VMware, Hyper‑V.
• Network devices: Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet (advantage).
• Production management systems: ERP, MES.
