Junior Mechanical Engineer – Thermal Products

About the role

Vertiv is seeking a hands‑on Junior Mechanical Engineer to support the development of new thermal products. You will translate abstract concepts into fully engineered solutions and guide them through prototype, testing, and launch.

Key responsibilities

• Create and modify mechanical parts, assemblies, and drawings using CAD tools such as Creo, Solid Edge, or SolidWorks.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials and configurator logic to ensure correct product options.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Manufacturing, Service, and Quality teams to capture requirements and deliver optimal designs.
• Provide technical support during prototype builds, gather feedback, and implement design improvements.
• Assist in troubleshooting field issues, coordinate lab performance testing, and analyze test data.
• Perform thermal system modeling and select appropriate components.
• Define control routines to meet customer performance specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts, safety standards, and product development processes.
• Experience with mechanical CAD tools (Creo, Solid Edge, SolidWorks) and familiarity with sheet‑metal, piping, and assembly design.
• Ability to work in cross‑functional, global development teams and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong documentation, planning, and communication skills.
