Junior Medical Science Liaison – Lung Cancer (Mexico City)

About the role

The Junior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Lung Cancer will support AstraZeneca’s medical affairs strategy in Mexico City. The role focuses on scientific exchange with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders and non‑traditional stakeholders to promote the safe and effective use of AstraZeneca medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Engage in clinical and scientific discussions with medical experts, policy makers and patient advocacy groups within the assigned therapeutic area.
• Provide balanced scientific, technical and pharmaco‑economic information on AstraZeneca lung‑cancer products through one‑on‑one meetings and medical‑lead events.
• Contribute to the development and execution of the Field Medical Strategic Plan for the territory.
• Gather insights on the health system, clinical pathways and patient journeys to inform medical strategy.
• Support evidence‑generation activities and respond to unsolicited inquiries, including off‑label questions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver training, mentoring and cross‑functional initiatives.

Required profile

• Scientific background with knowledge of lung‑cancer disease state management and emerging therapies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel across Mexico, including Baja California, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo León and Sonora.
• Understanding of the pharmaceutical market and competitive landscape.
