Junior Web Developer – Remote (LATAM) for US Universities

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Web Developer to join a fast‑growing performance‑marketing agency that serves higher‑education institutions and nonprofit organizations. In this remote position you will help build, maintain, and optimise WordPress‑based websites and landing pages that drive student recruitment and lead generation for North‑American universities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes, plugins, Gutenberg blocks and reusable templates.
• Create landing pages and website components that support SEO and paid‑media campaigns.
• Assist with website performance optimisation, accessibility improvements and Core Web Vitals initiatives.
• Perform QA testing, troubleshoot issues and support ongoing site maintenance.
• Contribute to reusable front‑end components, design systems and scalable development workflows.
• Collaborate with SEO, Creative and Paid Media teams to deliver high‑quality web experiences.
• Evaluate AI‑assisted development tools and automation opportunities.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience developing WordPress sites.
• Strong foundation in HTML, CSS and JavaScript with responsive design experience.
• Familiarity with reusable components, design systems and modern development workflows.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or ChatGPT.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving skills and a growth mindset.
