Labeling Engineer III

About the role

The Labeling Engineer III will support Merit Medical’s mission to develop innovative medical devices by overseeing labeling processes, creating prototypes, and managing engineering change notices. This position works independently on standard projects while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and apply standard technical techniques for labeling projects.
• Investigate technical variables and complete assignments with clear objectives.
• Develop and modify plans, surveys, structures, or equipment with established precedents.
• Supervise engineers or technicians as needed and collaborate with other engineers.
• Write Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and create prototypes under broad direction.
• Manage Non‑Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) and corrective actions.
• Perform special projects related to labeling and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in engineering or labeling.
• Strong analytical and scientific problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of United States and international standards applicable to medical device labeling.
• Effective interpersonal and organizational skills for teamwork.
