Lead TFA – Controls Engineer

About the role

The Lead TFA – Controls will oversee and execute field activities for GE Vernova’s Gas Power business, ensuring reliable installation, maintenance and calibration of power generation equipment at customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate on‑site activities, including labor, tools and technical assistants.
• Perform installation, preventive maintenance, repair and calibration of systems and equipment.
• Respond to emergency repair requests and provide technical assistance to customer representatives.
• Prepare and deliver technical reports, job status updates, material orders and expense documentation.
• Sign off on changes, ensure compliance with GE safety standards and drive customer satisfaction.
• Coach, mentor and train team members in field engineering practices.
• Conduct walk‑downs, verify parts availability and ensure all required components are shipped to the site.

Required profile

• Completed Level III competencies in field technical assistance.
• Proven ability to manage resources and make decisions within defined parameters.
• Strong safety mindset and commitment to GE safety standards.
• Experience coaching and mentoring technical staff.
• Excellent written communication for technical reporting.
