Legal Assistant / Case Manager (Remote – Mexico)

About the role

The Ledger Law Firm is seeking a Legal Assistant / Case Manager to support its U.S.-based personal injury practice. Working remotely from Mexico, you will help move injury cases forward with urgency and care, providing essential support to attorneys and senior case managers.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with clients about case status, treatment updates, and documents.
• Open, organize, and maintain personal injury case files.
• Request and follow up on medical records, billing records, police reports, insurance information, and other case‑related documents.
• Interact with medical providers, insurance adjusters, lienholders, and other third parties.
• Track client medical treatment and ensure client engagement.
• Assist attorneys and case managers with pre‑litigation and litigation support tasks.
• Draft, review, and organize correspondence, case summaries, and internal notes.
• Maintain accurate case management records and update files consistently.
• Identify problems early and escalate urgent issues to attorneys or senior staff.

Required profile

• Based in Mexico.
• Excellent written and spoken English (C1/C2 level preferred).
• Law degree, legal studies background, or prior legal experience preferred.
• Experience with U.S. personal injury law, insurance claims, litigation, or medical records is a strong plus.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently.
