Legal Counsel – Mexico

About the role

Join Mondelēz International as a Legal Counsel for Mexico, supporting commercial and corporate initiatives across the region. You will shape and execute legal strategies that protect the company’s people, assets, and reputation while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor legal strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Provide proactive legal advice on risk, contracts, corporate matters, and regulatory changes.
• Manage relationships with external counsel, overseeing budgets and performance.
• Collaborate with business units, regional teams, and global stakeholders to address complex legal issues.
• Handle corporate matters such as contracts, notarizations, and other transactional work.
• Support dispute resolution and advise on litigation matters when required.

Required profile

• Extensive legal experience, preferably within a large, matrixed multinational corporation.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and decision‑making abilities.
• Proven track record in risk assessment, advising, coaching, and dispute resolution.
• Highest level of integrity, credibility, and ability to communicate effectively.
• Resourceful with familiarity of relevant new technologies and systems.
• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
