Legal Senior Manager – Mexico City

About the role

Novartis is seeking a Legal Senior Manager to join its Mexico City team. The role provides strategic legal advice to business leaders, helping to drive innovation while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical sector.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted legal advisor to business units, delivering practical guidance on commercial and corporate matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad portfolio of commercial agreements and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal risk assessments and propose solutions that align with business objectives.
• Advise on litigation, investigations, disputes and other legal issues affecting the organization.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and monitor regulatory developments.
• Lead legal operational excellence projects to improve efficiency and team collaboration.

Required profile

• Law degree with experience in commercial or corporate legal matters.
• Proven track record providing legal counsel and risk‑based recommendations to business stakeholders.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or highly regulated industry.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence decisions at multiple levels.
• Excellent analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
