Legal Specialist

About the role

MedTrainer is seeking a Legal Specialist to join its compliance platform team in Querétaro, Mexico. The role blends employment‑law support with commercial contract work, ensuring the company stays compliant across both Mexican and U.S. operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support labor and employment matters, including employee contracts, performance management, conduct issues, terminations and off‑boarding.
• Draft, review and manage commercial agreements, NDAs, labor agreements, independent‑contractor agreements and vendor contracts.
• Provide legal guidance to internal teams and monitor compliance with Mexican labor, employment and corporate regulations, as well as U.S. legal requirements.
• Handle legal support requests, background‑check processes and documentation workflows.
• Maintain legal trackers, reports and documentation, and monitor changes in labor law that could affect the business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Advanced English proficiency (written, spoken, reading).
• Solid knowledge of Mexican Federal Labor Law and general commercial contract matters.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally, manage priorities and handle confidential information with discretion.

Required skills

• Contract drafting, proofreading and legal document review in English.
• Understanding of Mexican labor legislation.
