Linux Systems Administrator – Enterprise Production

About the role

As a Linux Systems Administrator at Kyndryl you will ensure the stability, performance and availability of Linux‑based operating systems that power critical enterprise services. You will work hands‑on with production servers, resolve incidents, and collaborate with cross‑functional infrastructure teams to deliver reliable services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE) in production environments.
• Install, configure, harden and maintain Linux servers to meet security and performance standards.
• Monitor systems proactively, analyze logs and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
• Perform OS patching, updates and basic automation to sustain availability and capacity.
• Document operational procedures and coordinate with database, middleware, cloud and storage teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months of hands‑on experience supporting Linux servers in operational or production settings.
• Customer‑focused mindset with strong accountability for service reliability.
• Intermediate English proficiency for technical communication.

Required skills

• Linux server installation, configuration and hardening.
• Administration of system services such as systemd, cron, SSH, NFS, Samba and Apache.
• Operating‑system patching, updates and basic automation scripting.
• Proactive monitoring, log analysis and incident troubleshooting.
