Linux Systems Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to provide remote and on‑site technical support for Linux environments across Forvia’s global data centres and local sites. The role ensures high availability, stability and disaster‑recovery readiness of critical systems while collaborating with international IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver remote technical support for Linux servers hosted in global data centres and local offices.
• Investigate and resolve support tickets and monitoring alerts raised by extended IT groups.
• Maintain system documentation, schemas and operational procedures.
• Participate in follow‑the‑sun support chain, weekend maintenance windows and on‑call rotation (6 pm‑8 am CET).
• Collaborate with local IT teams on SAP and other application support.
• Travel globally (10‑15% annually) to the USA and Europe as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux and VMware system administration.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and within an international, multi‑disciplinary team.
