Local Partnership Development Specialist – Tourism Network

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing travel and tourism company, is expanding its network of local tour guides across Mexico. The Local Partnership Development Specialist will identify, evaluate and onboard qualified guides while building lasting relationships with tourism communities, guide associations, universities and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Source potential tour guides through directories, social media, guide marketplaces, universities and referrals.
• Establish and nurture relationships with tourism departments, faculty, student organisations, guide associations and local tourism offices.
• Research and verify candidates’ background, certifications, language skills, customer reviews and professional reputation.
• Conduct structured screening interviews to assess destination knowledge, storytelling ability and customer‑service skills.
• Rank and maintain a pipeline of qualified guide partners, preparing profiles and shortlists for management review.
• Support partnership negotiations and onboarding activities to ensure operational consistency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, recruitment or partnership development within the tourism or travel sector.
• Strong communication, interviewing and relationship‑building capabilities.
• Ability to conduct detailed research and evaluate partner suitability.
