Logistics Operations Specialist – In‑House (Afternoon Shift)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Logistics Operations Specialist to manage daily transportation and logistics activities inside an automotive manufacturing plant. Working on the afternoon shift, you will act as the primary liaison between the plant, drivers, and our internal logistics teams to ensure on‑time pickups and deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the logistics liaison between the client’s plant and internal operations teams.
• Monitor inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of materials and finished goods.
• Coordinate directly with drivers, warehouse staff, and dispatch to resolve real‑time transportation issues.
• Track and update shipment status, manage exceptions, and communicate delays or discrepancies.
• Support logistics processes such as documentation, load planning, and customer‑specific instructions.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, non‑conformities, and carrier performance records.
• Ensure compliance with client protocols, plant safety rules, and transportation regulations.
• Identify and propose process improvements within plant logistics operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations (automotive experience preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced plant environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency; familiarity with TMS or plant‑based logistics systems is a plus.
• Availability to work on‑site at the automotive plant with a flexible schedule.
