Maintenance Planner

About the role

Greif is hiring a Maintenance Planner in Cuernavaca, Mexico (requisition 030986). The role plans, schedules and coordinates corrective, preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance activities with a long-term focus on increasing workforce reliability and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance tasks and schedules.
• Gather and organize the information and parts needed for maintenance work, such as diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer instructions.
• Diagnose problems by observing equipment, listening for issues, talking with operators and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Work with colleagues so that work orders are completed on time and machinery stays operational.
• Control and optimize spare parts ordering, stocking, issuing and inventory.
• Guide junior maintenance colleagues and follow plant safety policies, taking part in safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence and Lean Manufacturing programs.

Required profile

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and a technical certificate.
• 6-8 years of relevant experience.
• Mechanical background and direct maintenance work experience; high-volume manufacturing experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, manuals and machine drawings, and to sketch or alter drawings.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Time management and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Estimating labor hours, materials and skills needed for a job.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
