Maintenance Technician – Metal Mechanics

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure reliable operation of critical utilities and building systems in a cGMP‑regulated industrial facility. You will perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of equipment, document all work in the CMMS, and support facility improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on chillers, boilers, air handling units, cooling towers, dehumidifiers, compressed‑air systems, fire‑prevention equipment, emergency generators, UPS and water‑treatment plants.
• Perform predictive maintenance using reliability tools such as infrared thermography, vibration analysis, ultrasound inspection and equipment alignment.
• Document all activities in the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) and maintain spare‑parts inventory.
• Assist with building‑related projects including remodels, equipment installations, and energy‑management initiatives.
• Ensure contractors comply with company safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Carry out minor plumbing, carpentry and painting repairs as needed.

Required profile

• Technical background in mechanical, electrical or facilities engineering.
• Experience working in an industrial or cGMP environment.
• Knowledge of reliability‑centered maintenance principles.
• Ability to follow strict safety, environmental and documentation procedures.

Required skills

• CMMS operation and documentation.
• Infrared thermography, vibration analysis, ultrasound inspection, equipment alignment.
• Ultrasonic lubrication techniques.
• Hands‑on experience with HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, dehumidifiers, air handling units, compressed‑air systems, fire‑prevention systems, emergency generators, UPS and water‑treatment equipment.
• Basic plumbing, carpentry and painting skills.
