Manufacturing Engineer – Test Field

About the role

Siemens is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Test Field who will design, implement, and continuously improve the processes that support final product validation in a manufacturing environment. The role bridges manufacturing, quality, and testing teams to ensure safe, repeatable, and efficient validation workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise testing area layouts with focus on product flow, safety and ergonomics.
• Integrate testing activities into the end‑of‑line production flow and standardise validation processes.
• Conduct time‑and‑motion studies (MTM, Modapts) and perform workload balancing to define capacity and headcount needs.
• Develop work instructions, operating standards and key performance indicators (KPIs) for test time, efficiency and throughput.
• Participate in equipment and tool layout, ensure proper sizing, and support equipment validation from a process perspective.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives using Lean methodology to eliminate bottlenecks and reduce cycle time.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and improving manufacturing test processes.
• Ability to act as a liaison between manufacturing, quality and testing functions.
• Strong analytical skills for capacity analysis and time‑study execution.
• Experience developing documentation, work instructions and KPI metrics.
