Manufacturing Engineering Technician IV

About the role

Jabil is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Technician IV in Monterrey. The role provides equipment and process support to the workcells of the facility by maintaining and repairing all equipment used in manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance as required and complete maintenance records
• Determine work priorities according to production schedules and coordinate with department and line supervisors
• Act as first point of contact in escalation procedures and as the link between Machine Support and Manufacturing
• Train machine support technicians and design long-term solutions to recurring equipment problems
• Support new product introduction and prototype runs, and drive improvements in line metrics, efficiency and yield
• Ensure 100% on-time completion of preventive maintenance tasks and keep equipment downtime under 5%
• Apply health and safety compliance and measure department performance

Required profile

• Ability to define problems, gather data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to communicate with managers, clients, customers and the general public
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos and visual aids, and to write simple correspondence
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rates, ratios and percentages

Required skills

• Personal computer operation, including a Windows-based operating system
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages
