Medical Admin Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized Medical Admin Assistant to support healthcare providers and ensure smooth operations in a medical office. The role involves handling a variety of administrative tasks while maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with HIPAA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and manage calendars for providers and patients.
• Facilitate patient‑provider communication, relay messages, and arrange follow‑ups.
• Maintain accurate medical records, treatment plans, and test results in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Assist billing and coding teams by entering correct procedure and diagnosis codes.
• Coordinate prescription refills, prior authorizations, and maintain medication records.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and collaborate using online communication tools.
• Enter patient data and treatment information into EHR systems efficiently.
• Verify insurance coverage, obtain pre‑authorizations, and resolve eligibility issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the healthcare industry.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Strong customer service, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient data confidentiality.
