Medical Assistant – Monticello Clinic

About the role

The Clinic Medical Assistant will work at our Monticello location supporting physicians and patients in a fast‑paced outpatient environment. This full‑time, day‑shift position involves direct patient care, procedural assistance, and coordination with external health agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and minor surgical procedures.
• Assist physicians during procedures and perform basic diagnostic tests.
• Collect and process blood samples, ensuring proper handling and accurate analysis.
• Provide patient education and maintain clinic equipment.
• Act as liaison between the clinic, hospitals, nursing homes, DME companies, pharmacies, HMOs, and other physician offices.
• Support other medical staff to maintain efficient patient flow, including occasional weekend coverage.

Required profile

• CPR certification (required).
• High School diploma or GED equivalent (required for lab duties).
• Minimum two years of experience as a Medical Assistant (preferred).

Required skills

• CPR certification.
• Blood collection and basic laboratory processing.
• Patient preparation and education.
• Equipment maintenance.
