Occupational Health Physician

About the role

Hunter Douglas seeks an Occupational Health Physician to provide primary medical care to employees across its four Mexican manufacturing sites. The role focuses on health promotion, disease prevention, and compliance with occupational safety and health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver primary medical consultations to employees during work shifts.
• Conduct admission, periodic, and exit medical examinations in line with current regulations.
• Monitor and follow up on occupational diseases and workplace accidents.
• Coordinate health campaigns, vaccinations, and wellness initiatives within the plant.
• Prepare monthly medical reports, attendance statistics, and documentation for IMSS or other institutions.
• Collaborate with the safety and hygiene department to prevent occupational risks.
• Participate in internal health and safety committees.
• Oversee the proper use and maintenance of the medical office and first‑aid kits.
• Provide training on occupational health topics such as ergonomics and stress management.
• Manage and maintain digital medical records for all workers.

Required profile

• Medical degree with a valid professional license (Médico General).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial or occupational health settings.
• Knowledge of Mexican safety and hygiene standards (NOM‑STPS), occupational medicine, and first aid.
• Familiarity with digital medical record systems (desirable).
• Diploma or specialization in Occupational Health (desirable).
