Operations Director – Multi‑Site Manufacturing

About the role

The company seeks an Operations Director to lead a multi‑site manufacturing footprint in Mexico. You will partner with Plant Managers and functional leaders to translate business priorities into plant‑floor execution, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity and people development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support multiple manufacturing sites through Plant Managers and site leadership teams.
• Drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, OEE and efficiency metrics.
• Implement and sustain operational discipline, standard work and continuous‑improvement practices.
• Identify performance gaps and work with site teams to improve execution, cost structure and capacity utilization.
• Support budget, cost‑reduction, productivity and operational‑improvement initiatives.
• Build strong teams and develop plant leadership capability.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, maintenance, supply chain, HR and finance functions.
• Ensure consistent execution of manufacturing standards, KPIs and business priorities across the operation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading manufacturing operations in complex industrial environments.
• Proven multi‑site responsibility or experience managing several plants or plant leadership teams.
• Track record of improving plant performance, cost, productivity, OEE, quality and delivery.
• Strong continuous‑improvement background (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma or similar).
• Experience managing P&L, budgets, CAPEX and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Demonstrated leadership presence with the ability to influence, develop teams and drive accountability.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related postgraduate degree is a plus.
