Operations Superintendent – Drilling Projects

About the role

The Operations Superintendent will lead turnkey onshore and offshore drilling projects, ensuring that technical, safety and financial objectives are achieved. Reporting to the Operations Subdirectorate, the role coordinates multidisciplinary engineering teams and service providers to deliver well programs in line with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, coordinate and monitor detailed drilling programs using the Communication Protocol.
• Evaluate well designs, hydraulics, torque‑and‑drag, performance margins and nodal analysis.
• Select and qualify equipment heads based on water supply, operating conditions and fluid types.
• Analyze perforation bases, determine final perforation trays and manage collision scenarios.
• Provide solutions for re‑engineering well designs during drilling operations.
• Define well termination types using geological data, filling parameters and production apparatus considerations.
• Interpret productivity indices, drainage areas, fluid properties and damage factors for production designs.
• Ensure absolute compliance with QHSE processes, Management of Change (MoC) and Hazard Analysis & Risk Control (HARC).
• Maintain communication with Superintendents, Company Man, DOE and the Operations Subdirectorate.
• Coordinate Earth Pool drilling plans and manage resources required for execution.

Required profile

• Senior specialist in design and construction of conventional, unconventional, HP‑HT and high‑complexity wells.
• Proven experience evaluating and analyzing well designs, hydraulics, torque‑and‑drag and performance data.
• Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and service providers.
• Deep understanding of QHSE standards, MoC and HARC processes.
• Excellent analytical skills for geological, nodal and productivity assessments.
