Opportunity Consultant – Financial & Commercial Deal Advisor

About the role

The Opportunity Consultant acts as a trusted advisor across pursuit, sales, account and delivery teams, providing financial, commercial and contractual expertise throughout the deal lifecycle. You will lead pricing and profitability analyses, develop financial models and business cases, and support complex managed‑services opportunities to drive profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with sales and solution teams to capture customer requirements, scope and contractual obligations.
• Lead financial modelling, pricing strategy and profitability analysis for new opportunities, renewals and amendments.
• Develop business cases, cost models and scenario simulations to assess opportunity viability.
• Analyse operational and financial data to identify cost drivers, risks and pricing opportunities.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures and service‑level obligations on behalf of the business.
• Evaluate contractual risks and work with legal, finance and procurement to define mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with governance policies, approval frameworks and financial controls.
• Prepare documentation for executive reviews and the SOAR approval process.

Required profile

• Four‑year degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, contract management or managed‑services deal support.
• Proven ability to support complex commercial transactions and large‑scale customer pursuits.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting, profitability analysis and business case development.
