PHP Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join GlobalLogic’s digital transformation team. You will work with a diverse group of engineers, designers and product owners to modernize legacy applications and build new, scalable web solutions for clients across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the modernization of legacy codebases by implementing standardized frameworks and scalable backend architectures.
• Develop new features while maintaining and enhancing existing client solutions.
• Support long‑term enterprise web applications, ensuring reliability, performance and maintainability.
• Participate in design, architecture and development of new modules and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with product owners, QA and other stakeholders to deliver high‑quality software.
• Provide regular project updates and contribute to cross‑functional communication.
• Build, test and deploy reusable, maintainable software components.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability and architectural challenges.
• Leverage AI‑powered development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on software development experience with PHP.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns and MVC architecture.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX.
• Experience with relational databases, migrations and version‑control systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent English communication skills.
