Planner Buyer – Supply Chain & Materials Planning

About the role

The Planner Buyer is responsible for maximizing service levels while minimizing inventory, ensuring effective production and material planning. This role coordinates communication between customers, suppliers, and operations to guarantee timely material availability and adherence to production schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage communication with customers and suppliers.
• Plan production and material requirements based on customer specifications.
• Share forecasts and future material needs with suppliers to maintain service levels.
• Maintain up‑to‑date systems with customer and supplier information and analyze potential variations.
• Monitor and update operational metrics to support decision‑making.
• Negotiate delivery dates with customers based on supplier lead times.
• Work with production on special shipment plans and scheduling adjustments.
• Anticipate material purchases when system anomalies or supply risks are identified.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in planning, purchasing or a similar role.
• Knowledge of material planning and direct material purchasing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle systems (preferred).
• Experience in demand analysis and production scheduling.
• Experience working with suppliers, preferably international.
• Intermediate English proficiency and strong communication across functions.
• Analytical mindset with strong numerical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Results‑oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
