Planner – Category Inventory Management

About the role

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a Planner to drive inventory planning for the North America marketplace. You will ensure inbound supply aligns with demand, maintain service levels, and support profitability through data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan inbound supply to match demand signals and maintain forward coverage targets.
• Monitor product codes to achieve weekly coverage goals while preserving service levels.
• Maintain fill rates above 92% and communicate ship risk to Merch Planning, Resource Planning, and Distribution & Logistics.
• Identify selling approaches for slow‑moving products and manage inventory transitions, including alternate account allocation and asset recovery.
• Develop, interpret, and present quantitative reports to guide fact‑based decision‑making.
• Consolidate data from multiple sources (e.g., PD&S placement files, monthly purchase data) into reports, charts, and presentations.
• Work with O9 and SAP APO systems for identified products.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2 years of planning experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (complex functions).
• Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Business Objects.
• Experience with O9 and SAP APO.
