Plant Director

About the role

The Plant Director will lead one of our key manufacturing facilities in Aguascalientes, driving performance against business targets while ensuring safety, quality and cost efficiency. This high‑impact position is ideal for a seasoned leader with experience in large‑scale plant operations, union environments and continuous improvement methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Own overall plant performance, aligning production, finance, maintenance and support functions to business goals.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑range plans for space, equipment, staffing and resources.
• Implement cost‑control measures to improve profit while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand without excess investment.
• Delegate authority to managers and supervisors across production, control, finance and maintenance.
• Foster a positive employee and community relations climate.
• Drive loss‑time accident reduction and ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Monitor emerging production techniques and adopt those that enhance operating results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in plant or manufacturing operations.
• Proven experience in unionized plant environments is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and develop leadership within teams.

Required skills

• Lean manufacturing methodology.
• Six Sigma (Black Belt certification or equivalent).
• Key Performance Indicator (KPI) development and monitoring.
