PLC Functions Expert

About the role

The PLC Functions Expert will act as the technical voice of the JuP1 plant, providing strong support to value streams and guiding process standards. This role bridges local production with international competence centers, ensuring consistent knowledge exchange and process stability.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as central reference for process definitions and standards at JuP1.
• Maintain close contact with international competence centers and participate in process definition meetings at lead plants.
• Ensure cross‑value‑stream knowledge exchange, improve process stability and efficiency, and coach value‑stream engineers.
• Support new product launches with technical expertise and conduct capability studies, failure cost analysis, and risk assessments.
• Organise and lead knowledge‑exchange activities across production plants and CNs.
• Assist feasibility studies for new projects and specify equipment requirements.
• Network with other CoCs, monitor market trends for equipment and methods, and define the process roadmap.
• Track metrics such as downtime, MTBF, MTTR, and cost targets to meet plant objectives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience programming PLCs, IPCs and HMIs for automatic and semi‑automatic machines.
• Ability to develop, debug, commission and modify control programs for special equipment.
• Proficiency in creating offline base‑station programs and integrating machines with MES servers.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for connectivity, logic failures and communications equipment.
• Experience supporting new product launches and conducting capability and failure‑cost studies.
