Powertrain Brackets Design & Release Engineer

About the role

The role focuses on the design, development and full‑life‑cycle release of powertrain brackets and structural mounting components. You will own the process from early concept through tooling, validation and volume production, working closely with cross‑functional vehicle teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end release of powertrain brackets, from concept feasibility to full‑volume production.
• Create and refine 3D models and 2D detail drawings using CATIA V5 or Siemens NX, performing packaging and clearance checks.
• Collaborate with engine, chassis, NVH, thermal and vehicle integration leads to resolve fit and structural interface issues.
• Lead engineering documentation including DFMEA, DVP&R and GD&T application; review validation test results and drive root‑cause analysis.
• Process engineering changes (CNs, release gates, drawing updates) in PLM systems such as Teamcenter or Enovia.
• Partner with supplier engineers on manufacturability of castings, stampings and weldments and support prototype builds at manufacturing sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive product development, component design or engineering release.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CATIA V5, Siemens NX or SolidWorks for 3D modelling and 2D drafting.
• Experience using PLM data‑management tools such as Teamcenter or Enovia.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, drafting standards and basic strength‑of‑materials principles.
• Familiarity with vehicle development tools including DFMEA, DVP&R and engineering change orders.
