Premium Travel Counselor – Hybrid Role

About the role

This hybrid position is a frontline role in American Express' contact centre, dedicated to serving premium card members in the United States. You will receive intensive paid training and mentorship to become a highly skilled Travel Consultant, handling high‑volume inbound calls and delivering memorable travel experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Provide world‑class customer service in a fast‑paced, high‑volume travel call environment.
• Create new bookings and service existing travel arrangements for premium card members.
• Consult with members to understand their needs and deliver innovative, personalized travel solutions.
• Research, plan, and book domestic and international flights, car rentals, and hotel accommodations.
• Communicate product offerings and value propositions relevant to the card member.
• Uphold the "Membership First™" approach and American Express brand standards.

Required profile

• Fluent in English with very high written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in high‑end customer service or sales within tourism, travel, cruise, or tours.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver premium service in a call‑center or similarly fast‑paced environment.
• Basic geography knowledge of continents, countries and key travel destinations.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, resilience to change, and ability to work nights and weekends.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Comfortable navigating computer applications and PC environments.
