Private Finance Manager

About the role

The Private Finance Manager will be based in Mexico and will support a family‑office environment by overseeing budgeting, payments and reporting for privately used assets. You will ensure financial accuracy, transparency and operational efficiency while collaborating with finance teams, contractors and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage budgeting processes for personal expenses and privately used assets, monitoring income, expenses and performance.
• Execute and oversee payments via bank accounts, credit cards and digital wallets, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
• Maintain monthly accounting records in ERP and finance systems and prepare budget‑vs‑actual reports.
• Coordinate with contractors on agreements, service payments and reconciliation of balances.
• Review advance expense reports, validate allocations and classify expenditures.
• Control privately used payment methods, including limits, card controls and transaction tracking.
• Monitor financial documentation, authorizations and bank‑related records.
• Support treasury operations during peak periods or team absences, including occasional travel.
• Improve financial processes, reporting structures, ERP workflows and expense management procedures.

Required profile

• Strong experience in private finance management, financial operations or similar roles with complex payment and reporting processes.
• Solid accounting knowledge covering expense classification, allocation, AP/AR and month‑end discipline.
• Deep understanding of end‑to‑end banking operations, multi‑currency payments and reconciliation.
• Proven ability to work with ERP or finance systems and to drive process improvements.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data validation).
• Google Sheets expertise.
• Experience with ERP or finance management systems.
