Procurement Agent

About the role

The Procurement Agent is responsible for ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services, maintaining optimal stock levels, and driving strong performance with suppliers. The role requires fluent English communication, strategic sourcing for interconnection suppliers, and accurate upkeep of the MRP system.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain goods and services on schedule and prepare purchase orders.
• Track material flow from order placement to warehouse receipt.
• Establish and nurture strategic relationships with key suppliers aligned to company needs.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
• Develop recovery plans with suppliers and coordinate their execution.
• Work closely with operations to manage procurement of raw materials, equipment, consumables, chemicals, and tools.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, delivery performance, productivity, and quality.
• Identify new suppliers for product introductions and negotiate quotes and pricing.

Required profile

• University‑level education.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Meticulous, motivated, organized with good relationship‑building abilities.
• High reactivity, problem‑solving mindset, and flexibility for early, day, or late shifts.
• Ability to analyze and clearly explain issues.
• Knowledge of procurement, sourcing strategy, purchasing activities, logistics, MRP processes, and rules.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems (MM modules).
• Proficiency in English or French and willingness to travel.
