Product Engineer (Level 2)

About the role

As a Product Engineer (Level 2) you will own the technical responsibility for one or more air‑brake product families, supporting customers, suppliers and manufacturing worldwide. You will work in a collaborative, Agile/Scrum environment to drive product improvements, cost reductions and ensure safety and quality compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and develop DVPRs and DFMEAs for assigned products.
• Manage engineering changes, including part numbers, 3‑D models, 2‑D drawings, BOMs and documentation within a PLM system.
• Perform tolerance stack and GD&T analyses to validate components and assemblies.
• Collaborate with test, design, quality and manufacturing teams to modify designs, support production, and execute cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Approve or reject supplier PPAPs and specification deviations based on testing and dimensional data.
• Lead product safety activities, annual quality audits and 8D corrective actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Manufacturing or related field).
• Experience with air‑brake or similar automotive products preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as die‑casting, machining, stamping and injection molding.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum team.
