Production Manager

About the role

Corning is seeking a Production Manager to lead and optimise manufacturing operations within its Optical Communications segment. The role focuses on establishing efficient processes, supporting equipment selection, and driving continuous improvement to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritise and manage multiple complex tasks, ensuring on‑time completion.
• Assist in hiring production personnel to sustain 24‑hour operations within budget.
• Monitor operations through reports, meetings, and direct observation to maintain workflow, schedule adherence, and resource utilisation.
• Oversee installation and initial use of new equipment, ensuring proper integration and operation.
• Coordinate diverse ongoing projects while maintaining employee safety.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree, preferably with a technical emphasis.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) and able to work independently.
• Proven ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and make decisive decisions.
