Production Manager

About the role

The Production Manager leads all manufacturing operations at the plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective delivery of products that meet customer, quality, and business requirements. This role partners with Engineering, Quality, Materials, Program Management, and Global Operations to support customer satisfaction and new product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity targets.
• Execute production plans aligned with customer requirements and business objectives.
• Manage daily performance using operational metrics and visual management systems.
• Drive operational discipline, standardized work practices, and compliance with company, customer, and Mexican regulations.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives such as OEE, labour productivity, scrap reduction, and yield improvement.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Support digitalization, automation, and Industry 4.0 projects.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and support preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
• Assist tooling, process optimization, automation, and capital investment projects.
• Work with Quality and Engineering during new product introductions to ensure manufacturing readiness.

Required profile

• Proven leadership in manufacturing or production environments.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, cost, and productivity drivers.
• Experience with continuous‑improvement methodologies and operational excellence.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, quality, and program teams.
• Knowledge of Mexican regulatory requirements is a plus.
