Production Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Production Manager will lead daily manufacturing operations at Julian Electric in Saltillo, ensuring the production plan is executed safely, on time, and meets quality and productivity standards. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will supervise production supervisors, team leaders and operators while coordinating closely with Quality, Engineering, Materials, Maintenance and Human Resources.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture, conduct daily safety reviews and partner with EHS to investigate incidents.
• Execute the daily and weekly production schedule, monitor output each shift and implement recovery actions when needed.
• Lead daily production meetings, communicate priorities, risks and required actions, and maintain a constant floor presence.
• Achieve labor efficiency, productivity, utilization and output targets while reducing downtime, waiting, rework and other waste.
• Ensure operators follow quality standards, work instructions and inspection requirements; contain quality issues immediately.
• Plan daily staffing, address absenteeism, turnover, performance and discipline in coordination with HR.
• Enforce standard work, audit process adherence and correct deviations before they affect safety, quality or delivery.
• Coordinate material flow and work‑in‑process control to sustain continuous production flow.

Required profile

• Highly present on the production floor with a detailed understanding of the manufacturing process.
• Ability to act with urgency when the production plan is at risk.
• Proven capability to identify root causes of safety, quality, material, equipment or labor issues.
• Skilled at assigning clear actions and following through until production stabilises and customer requirements are met.
