Production Training Specialist – HVAC Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Training Specialist will design, coordinate and deliver technical training programs for operators, technicians and new hires in an HVAC manufacturing plant. The focus is on copper brazing, welding processes and standardized assembly procedures to ensure safety, quality and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and deliver training on copper brazing, MIG/TIG welding, hard soldering and HVAC component assembly.
• Lead employee induction, introducing new hires to plant safety protocols, work culture and operational expectations.
• Assess technical skills through practical evaluations, process audits and competency certifications.
• Create and maintain training materials such as manuals, visual aids, videos and job aids.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external certifications for brazing, welding, safety and quality.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering and EHS to identify skill gaps and create targeted training plans.
• Track and report training metrics, including hours, certification rates and effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate training records in the Learning Management System.
• Provide on‑floor technical support to reinforce correct practices.
• Support the rollout of new equipment or processes by training personnel before implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in technical training, process engineering or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of HVAC manufacturing processes and safety standards.
