Project Manager – Compressor Systems (Mexico)

About the role

As a Project Manager for compressor systems, you will lead the engineering, maintenance and execution of projects, ensuring they meet budget, quality, safety, performance and schedule targets. Reporting to the Latam Head Project Manager, you will establish project controls aligned with Siemens Energy standards and drive the integration of compressor systems within the broader energy transformation agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of compressor system projects, managing budget, quality, safety, performance and schedule.
• Establish and maintain project controls in line with PM@SE and Business Management Systems.
• Lead and motivate internal project teams and external suppliers, sharing responsibility with the sourcing manager.
• Evaluate customer specifications, cost calculations and transport/erection quantities.
• Prepare request‑for‑quotation documents, evaluate offers and negotiate contracts.
• Support contract management and negotiation activities.
• Coordinate system interfaces across process, mechanical, piping, electrical, I&C, civil and structural domains.
• Ensure contractors meet time schedules, quality standards and cost targets, reviewing design and quality documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in power‑plant engineering, contractor management and execution of international projects.
• Specialist knowledge of Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) systems and EPC market or Boiler/HRSG contractors.
• Understanding of materials, welding, mechanical processing, dimensioning and relevant HRSG codes and standards.
• Experience with engineering data management tools and databases.
• High energy, self‑motivation, strong organizational skills and willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
• Excellent English communication skills and intercultural sensitivity for virtual international teamwork.
