Project Manager – Manufacturing Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end execution of manufacturing‑related projects, including equipment installations, process improvements, plant expansions, and new product introductions across multiple sites in the United States and Mexico.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, presentations, and budgets; align them with plant production schedules.
• Drive adherence to stage‑gate or structured project‑management processes.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma (DMAIC/DMADV) methodologies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase throughput.
• Lead Kaizen events, value‑stream mapping, and other process‑optimization initiatives.
• Track and report measurable improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and safety (CQDS).
• Coordinate activities across Aiken, Mexicali, and Saltillo sites and ensure seamless integration of projects into daily operations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks related to production, safety, or quality; ensure compliance with OSHA, NOM, and company EHS standards.
• Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) budgets, track ROI, and support business‑case development.
• Serve as primary liaison between plant leadership and project teams, providing data‑driven updates to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of project‑management experience in industrial manufacturing or plant operations.
• Proven success managing capital projects, process improvements, or NPI initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as assembly, machining, and automation.
• Ability to work cross‑culturally and travel 25–40% between sites.
