Python Engineer – Remote (Mexico)

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for a Python Engineer to join its remote team in Mexico. The role focuses on building robust, scalable Python solutions, automating data workflows, and supporting GIS‑related processing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python scripts and applications supporting business processes.
• Automate manual workflows, including input uploads and simple UI components.
• Implement data quality checks across datasets.
• Integrate with SQL or NoSQL databases for storage and retrieval.
• Extract and parse data from third‑party APIs.
• Use Alteryx or similar tools for data transformation and analytics.
• Support GIS mapping tasks such as subdividing acreage polygons, visualizing well placements, and ensuring spatial integrity.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Python programming and scripting.
• Strong understanding of database interaction (SQL or NoSQL).
• Experience with data automation and building lightweight user interfaces.
• Knowledge of data quality frameworks and validation techniques.
• Familiarity with ETL tools like Alteryx or equivalents.
• Ability to work with APIs for data extraction and integration.
• Exposure to GIS concepts and libraries (e.g., GeoPandas, Shapely, QGIS).
