Quality Analyst

About the role

The Quality Analyst will ensure excellence across the manufacturing value stream at Caterpillar’s Ciénega de Flores facility. You will design, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System, guaranteeing compliance with international standards and driving defect prevention.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced inspections, measurement system analysis (MSA) and validate CMM reports to verify product and process accuracy.
• Lead RCCA/A3 investigations, applying Pareto, 8D and other root‑cause tools to define corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate quality training, present key metrics (PPM, FPY, scrap) and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on improvement projects.
• Support new line ramp‑ups, adapting documentation and processes to operational changes.
• Maintain quality system documentation, schedule internal and external audits, and manage non‑conforming material processes.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing or related field.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• Knowledge of QMS (CQMS/ISO), APQP (PFMEA, Control Plan, SWES, MSA).
• Familiarity with GD&T, blueprint reading, machining and assembly processes.
• Experience with quality software such as ETQ, SAP, Infinity and AQE.
• Preferred certifications: Lean/6 Sigma Green Belt, ISO 9001 Internal Auditor.
