Quality Coordinator

About the role

The Quality Coordinator is a hands‑on quality professional focused on printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) manufacturing. Working directly on the SMT and THT floors, you will ensure product quality throughout incoming, in‑process, and final inspection stages in a high‑mix electronics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hands‑on inspections of PCBA at incoming, in‑process, and outgoing stages.
• Execute Incoming Quality Inspections (IQC) for components, bare PCBs and related materials.
• Provide quality support for SMT and THT processes, including solder paste inspection, line inspections, and selective solder inspection.
• Own, validate and release AOI programs, analyze results and drive continuous improvements.
• Apply IPC‑A‑610 acceptance criteria during manual and automated inspections.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) for new products, ECOs and process changes.
• Maintain quality records using digital forms, quality systems and ERP tools.
• Collaborate daily with Production, Engineering and Materials to resolve quality issues.
• Support internal, customer and external audits with technical input and shop‑floor evidence.
• Enforce ESD control, workmanship standards and 5S practices in inspection and production areas.

Required profile

• Technical degree or engineering background (Electronics, Industrial, Mechatronics) or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing quality, preferably with PCBA focus.
• Proven experience working on the SMT floor and in assembly areas.
• Solid background in IQC, in‑process quality (SMT/THT) and final inspection.
• Experience owning or supporting AOI inspection systems.
• Knowledge of IPC‑A‑610 (preferred) and ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, schematics and customer specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with ERP/MES (Oracle, SAP) is a plus.
• Bilingual English‑Spanish.
