Quality Engineer

About the role

The Quality Engineer supports the investigation and resolution of quality issues across supplier, production, manufacturing, and design domains. Acting as the customer’s advocate, the role ensures product quality meets internal standards and external expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to day‑to‑day design, production, and customer quality issues on production lines.
• Resolve production problems related to process errors, non‑conforming parts, and design defects.
• Interface with Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, and Production Inventory Control.
• Monitor self‑release of products, conduct first‑article inspections, and audit manufacturing instructions.
• Lead internal and external supplier audits, corrective‑action tracking, and compliance verification.
• Maintain investigation records, perform special tests, and develop testing procedures.
• Apply and monitor established inspection methods, collect data via MRP/ERP systems, and manage statistical quality systems.
• Review, support, and close RMA cases with root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of AS9100, ITAR, Lean, and Six Sigma is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools for productivity and decision‑making.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Physical ability to lift 25‑50 lb occasionally and 10‑25 lb frequently.
