Quality Engineer

About the role

Jabil is hiring a Quality Engineer in Chihuahua. The role represents the quality function of technical support, working together with other internal support groups on issues affecting manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QA plans and process routings that reflect intended and actual activities.
• Support quoting activities by taking part in initial process design, development and implementation.
• Evaluate and support inspection processes through inspection aids and instruction guidelines.
• Support training programs by developing and delivering specialized training sessions.
• Review and maintain documentation files and set up systems for document storage and access.
• Review supplier or customer discrepancies and coordinate and track corrective and preventative actions.
• Provide trend analysis of defects at the customer, supplier and internally, and participate in vendor surveys.
• Interface with all departments on policies and procedures, especially ISO, EN4600 and GMP documentation.
• Monitor departmental activities and give technical and logistical guidance to the quality engineering staff.
• Provide technical support on quality issues with customers and serve as liaison between Jabil Circuit and suppliers or customers.
• Use SPC data and corrective action tracking to drive corrective action efforts, and hold meetings and define procedures as needed.
• Follow safety, health rules and company security procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
