Quality Release Technician

About the role

The Quality Release Technician supports Abbott's new manufacturing facility in Querétaro by performing final and in‑process documentation reviews, product inspections, and release activities. The role also assists engineers with quality technical support, new product development, problem solving, and non‑conformance resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in‑process and final product inspections against specifications and procedural requirements, including device history record review.
• Audit production operations and document inspections.
• Collect, summarize, and analyze data; conduct basic statistical analysis and monitor critical‑to‑quality parameters.
• Assist in executing and documenting equipment, product, process, and test method verifications, qualifications, and validations.
• Maintain area release goals to avoid line‑downs or back‑orders and support control plans for products and processes.
• Support operations and engineering teams in documenting and resolving non‑conformances and improving documentation practices.
• Train and certify technicians on area procedures.
• Coordinate work priorities and key tasks with area members.
• Request vendor certifications and provide certificates of conformance when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar quality release or manufacturing role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
