Quality Supervisor (Rotate Shifts)

About the role

ABB is hiring a Quality Supervisor in Juarez, Mexico, for its Electrification Business. The role reports to the Quality Specialist and supports the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, covering quality culture, systems, tools and competent teams so that customer expectations are exceeded and operations remain sustainable. It is an onsite position and candidates must be willing to rotate shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and allocate resources to meet inspection rate targets, respond to resource issues and lead capacity planning and resource optimization for the testing area.
• Execute the testing plan according to the production plan to meet the volume requirements set in the demand plan.
• Identify and recommend technical equipment and facility improvements.
• Ensure quality testing of equipment and conforming products meets on-time delivery targets for the assigned product complexity.
• Identify deficiencies in testing process efficiency, propose improvement activities and oversee their implementation.
• Manage the resolution of critical product or equipment issues with internal teams and the respective quality specialist.
• Work with HR to organize, staff, skill and direct the area, and guide, motivate and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
• Work with the quality and HSE team to ensure hourly employees comply with quality and safety criteria.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (engineering background desired).
• 5+ years of experience in similar positions; knowledge of electrification or electrical components processes is a plus.
• Ability to analyze issues detected during the assembly process to ensure high product quality (RCA, A3, DMAIC, 8Ds, etc.).
• Basic English level.
• Willingness to rotate shifts.

Required skills

• Leadership and team management skills, as the role coordinates a group of around 20 blue-collar staff.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
