Quality Supervisor (Rotate Shift) - Electrification, Juarez Plant

About the role

ABB is hiring a Quality Supervisor for its Electrification team at the Juarez plant in Mexico. The role reports to the Quality Specialist and supports the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, covering quality culture, systems, tools and competent teams so that customer expectations are exceeded and operations remain sustainable. It is an onsite, full-shift position with rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and allocate resources to meet inspection rate targets, and lead capacity planning and resource optimization for the testing area.
• Execute the testing plan according to the production plan to meet the volume requirements set in the demand plan.
• Identify and recommend technical equipment and facility improvements, and ensure quality testing of equipment and conforming products meets on-time delivery targets.
• Identify deficiencies in testing process efficiency, propose improvement activities and oversee their implementation.
• Manage the resolution of critical product or equipment issues with internal teams and the respective quality specialist.
• Ensure the area is properly organized, staffed and skilled, and guide, motivate and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
• Work with the quality and HSE team to ensure hourly employees comply with quality and safety criteria.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (engineering background desired).
• 3-5 years of experience in similar positions; knowledge of electrification or electrical components processes is a plus.
• Ability to analyze issues detected during the assembly process to ensure high product quality (RCA, A3, DMAIC, 8Ds).
• Full-shift supervision and willingness to rotate shifts.

Required skills

• Leadership and team management skills, coordinating a group of around 20 blue-collar staff.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Basic English.
