Sourcing Project Manager

About the role

ABB is hiring a Sourcing Project Manager for its Electrification Smart Power division in Juarez, Mexico. The role reports to the Procurement Manager and leads strategic sourcing, outsourcing, localization and supplier transfer projects from initiation through production launch. It is an on-site position.

Key responsibilities

• Own sourcing, outsourcing, localization and supplier transfer projects from start to production launch
• Manage project plans, timelines, milestones, risks, resources and stakeholder alignment
• Coordinate RFQ processes, supplier evaluations, cost analysis and supplier selection
• Drive collaboration with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics and suppliers
• Ensure supplier industrialization, APQP/PPAP completion, production readiness and launch execution
• Monitor performance against cost savings, quality, delivery, lead time and milestone KPIs
• Maintain project governance, reporting, dashboards and executive communications using Power BI, SAP and Microsoft 365

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, supplier development, manufacturing or project management in a manufacturing environment
• Experience leading cross-functional projects with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics and suppliers
• Background in industrial manufacturing, preferably electrical, electromechanical, metal, plastic, outsourced manufacturing or localization projects
• Fluent English and Spanish

• Strategic sourcing, RFQ processes, supplier selection, negotiations and cost analysis
• Supplier development, APQP/PPAP, manufacturing readiness and production launches
• Project management, stakeholder management, communication and problem solving
• Microsoft 365; Power BI required, SAP preferred
